Calla's Sixty-Sixth Post

Remember when it was like 1996 and I was ten and everyone and their mother was on AOL chatting it up in chatrooms and IMing and forwarding crap e-mails, half of which asked you to fill out a survey about yourself? Well, pretty much with the expansion of facebook into a full fledged stalking device, the survey things are all over the place again. They're even sillier now though because we have such handy-dandy high-tech-ness; so we are able to "put your ipod on shuffle and answer these questions with the name of the songs that play." Well, I only have an ipod shuffle (from the first generation like 4 years ago), so one step is done FOR me. Anyway, it's pretty ridiculous and humerous that we all act like we are 10-14 yrs of age again. This is not to pretend like I am not guilty of it myself. In fact, I rather enjoy filling out the surveys. Everyone loves to be egotistical now and again. (some more than others.) I enjoy wasting my time talking about myself so much (that I created this blog! hahaha) that when I discovered the take a survey application thingy-ma-bob, I answered a whole lot of questions. This is a puppy friend from Rye Playland. I told my friend Angel I wanted a bunny, and he couldn't find any, but said this dog kinda had bunny ears. Which is maybe a little bit tiny bit true.

Calla's Eighth Post

This is my fairy friend!! I made her in the game second life. I wanted to make a person and so Tabby downloaded second life for me and he named her Calla Waffle. I said, "Calla Waffleface!?" in complete disbelief, "Her name is Calla Waffleface!? WAFFLEface?" That is how I said it. . . with the emphasis on 'Waffle' since 'face' isn't part of her name. That is not her name though. That is only what Tabby named her. He named her that before I even made her. . . and wow, did I make her super super cute. Really her name is Princessface. NO, that's also not her name, but she does look like a fairy princess because she is so so beautiful. But REALLY, all fairies are this pretty. That is why I wish I was a fairyfacefriend. Her real name is Caprica like Caprica Six. But my Caprica friend wasn't integral to the cylon plot of nuking the twelve human home worlds. My Caprica likes humans. (Though she is shy around them.) She goes by Rica so as not to be confused with the fictional Caprica Six. She thinks that would be a bad association, because, like I said, Rica likes human people and Caprica Six tried to kill them all. (Though really Caprica Six likes human people now, and even was in love with psycho-face Baltar for so long.)

Anyway, Rica lives with all the other woodland fairies. She is kind of an outcast though, because she is shy around fairy people. Her best friends are a bat named Luna and a dragon named August. They all like to fly around together because Rica can fly even though she doesn't have wings. They like to fly over mountain ranges the best, and they like to fly at night because Luna flies better at night. They have one human friend. He is a spy for the human queen. Rica thinks she might be in love with him, which makes her even more shy than she already is!! But wow, is her facey adorable!? (It is. . . I made her face so so so cute. I'm good at doing that.)

Probably sometime I will have a story to tell you about Rica. But right now, I really don't! She will do a survey though (like we are 12 again!!) so that you can get to know her. Here is it.

Calla's Second Post

I have to write in this every every day because that is the only way this blog will be fun. I could write about the V.P. debate from yesterday. . . But that doesn't sound like a good idea because I don't really have much interesting to say about it. I am, however, happy that neither of the candidates made complete fools of themselves (as they are apt to do.) I can't handle watching another person suffer. . . even if it is a person like Sarah Palin who is a little bit nutty. . and even if I am using the term 'suffer' loosely. ('cause I am using it to mean 'be embarrassed' in this context) See, this is not a good idea.

In the past I sometimes had interesting comments to make. Like when McCain and Obama were asked when a baby receives human rights. . . and that was a quite strange question. See, if I were asked that question I would have said one of two things. . .
number 1: when it becomes a baby. . . duh.
Number 2: Since when is this country concerned about human rights in general. . . We do not award ALL human rights to EVERYone; we are much more strictly concerned with the human rights of U.S. American Citizens. In the U.S. constitution it clearly states a U.S.A. citizen is born or naturalized here. . . a fetus/baby is not BORN or NATURALIZED on U.S. soil. . . Until prisoners at Gitmo are awarded the same basic rights as U.S. citizens, why should we award those rights to premature people who are also not U.S. citizens?

All this being said, I truly despise abortion like it is the grossest injustice ever. (To women and premature women/men) Tell me how it is a choice when a college student gets pregnant and will have to drop out of school because. . . 1) there is no parenting-student housing available to her 2) and she cannot afford to go to school part-time because she will lose her financial aid but can no longer attend full time because she has to work full time 3) but will lose her health insurance if she doesn't go to school full time, complicating that whole giving-birth-in-a-hospital thing 4) and was never educated about birth control thoroughly in the first place 5) and cannot get reasonably priced day care 6) and has recommendations about abortion clinics, but not resources for single young mothers. . . and well, you get the point. . . So basically, the U.S. government needs to fix all this stupidness (including dead beat fathers [once again, using a term loosley] and what not) so that we can actually reduce the number of abortions. People are so dumb. Women deserve a choice. . . not being forced into having an abortion because they feel like they have no other options. Abortions should be nonexistent because they are unnecessary, not because they are illegal. (And really, they should be unnecessary. Get on it government.)

So that was fun and entertaining. . . And weird of me. . . But lots of stuff is weird of me lots of the time.
