Post no. 9

I am uninformed.

This makes sense considering I am only 22 years old.

I have not had as much time to become informed as everyone older than 22 years of age.

Yet, I like to think of myself as informed. No one wants to consider one's self ignorant.

But that is exactly what I am. I am still constantly learning new and horrific facts about the inhumane nature of humanity.

Did you know involuntary experiments are performed on children in the United States? If not, you are ignorant too. (If so, probably you are ignorant about other things and you should be sure to read up on the other crazinesses discussed in this blog and elsewhere.) So, somehow I missed this disturbing fact until now. . . and I am still not sure about all the details. What I do know is this: the U.S. government has tested experimental AIDS drugs on foster children for the past two decades. These are not drugs which have first been tested on volunteer subjects. No, these are drugs which are in Phase I and Phase II of research-- the most dangerous phases. So, turns out if a child does not have parents s/he also does not have rights in this country. Fun stuff.

If you google "Involuntary experimentation on foster children" you'll come up with enough hits to begin your initial research into the disturbing world of our government.

On a related note I learned that the U.S. also performed a "syphilis experiment, in which hundreds of African-American men in Alabama were deliberately infected with syphilis and never told about it, in order to study the long-term effects of the untreated infection." (this link told me so: http://www.newtopiamagazine.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=54 )

So, this is gross. And I just thought you should know about it in case you wanted to expand your mind and expel some of that ignorance we all harbor.
