Calla's Thirty-Seventh Post pt. 5
OK, this is just no longer a post-script thing because that is just too many "posts." But how do you feel about everyone's religious faith coming unraveled even though they all have different faiths? Rosalyn's all burning the ancient scriptures, Leoben's all "everything I thought is wrong." Judging from previews Baltar gets all heretical. It's rather completely depressing. I wonder how Starbuck's holding up on hers. Won't she be shocked and thoroughly disappointed when she finds out she's been praying to herself all these years. AHHHHHHHH! This is so so sad. Don't hate god(s).

Don't fret. Boethius, the 6th century philosopher, had this to say about tonight's episode:
Ite nunc fortes ubi celsa magni
ducit exempli via. cur inertes
terga nudatis? superata tellus
sidera donat.
(O strong of heart, go where the road
Of ancient honour climbs.
Bow not your craven shoulders.
Earth conquered gives the stars.
Also, the title of the episode, "Sometimes a Great Notion," is a reference to Ken Kesey's novel of the same time--which is in turn a reference to an old folk song, "Goodnight, Irene":
Sometimes I live in the country
Sometimes I live in the town
Sometimes I get a great notion
To jump into the river an’ drown
"Time" should be "name" in that post.
