Calla's Seventh Post

I mean, I'm pretty positive that Kara Thrace is a Lord of Kobol. That just seems obvious, what with her 'destiny,' and the fact that she is recognizable to all the humanoid cylons, and that Kara was drawn to a statue of Aurora when she met the oracle, and that she was the first one to find earth and when the fleet arrives they are possibly at the temple of Aurora, and that Aurora is the goddess of the dawn and the episode title of the series finale is Daybreak. (OK, that last point just reveals that Aurora is important, not that Starbuck IS Aurora; but Aurora's NOT just gonna be some random character we've never met. . . and Starbuck is clearly the most closely linked to the said goddess.) So yeah, to me, this seems obvious, no? Starbuck = Aurora.

What is less obvious is this issue of head Baltar and head Six. (Not to mention the random
other head people that characters encounter, Leobon, Elosha, Romo Lampkin's Kitty Cat Meow face, etc.) So I believe Six when she says she is an Angel of God sent to protect Baltar to the end of the human race. I have no problem accepting that statement at face value. It seems logical enough in context of the show. Head Baltar is trickier. Is he GOD? I mean, Caprica Six calls God "he," so head Six isn't going to be God as she is clearly female. Could head Baltar be the jealous God whom the cylons follow? I mean, real life Baltar is crazy and conceited enough that another image of him could certainly believe himself to be above all the other gods and goddesses. . . But that seems odd. Maybe he is also an angel? But then why oh why would head Baltar need to appear to Baltar? Maybe he's God.

OK, even trickier than all this insanity is that frakkin' opera house. When real life Baltar has visions of the opera house, guess who is with him. . . just guess. Head Six. When Caprica Six has visions of the opera house, guess who is with her. . . just guess. Head Baltar. . . It is clearly only the head versions, as when Caprica has the visions, Roslin and Athena and Hera are all having them too simultaneously, and Baltar is not. When Baltar has the visions, there is no indication of Caprica having them. . . Plus head Six always knows external things, and Caprica doesn't. . . and Six tells Baltar about Hera before Hera exists while they are in the opera house. . . So clearly is it Head Six and not Caprica.

This leads us to Hera. . . How is Hera going to end up in custody of Real life Baltar and Caprica? I truly believe she will, which leads me to believe that Hera, Baltar, and Caprica will be nearly all that remains of the human/cylon race. . . which is scary. I DUNNO!!

OK, back to Kara. There will be a piano player to whom she is drawn. . . Uh. . . HER FATHER IS A PIANIST. So, clearly that will be her father. So what? Aurora's father, I was recently informed, was a Titan. Are there TITANS in Galactica now?

What the frak is going to happen? I can hardly contain myself. Oh wow. It is still too far away!!!!!!

They are on earth. . . the origin of both the original cylons AND the destination of the thirteenth tribe. Obviously, the thirteenth tribe was comprised solely of cylons whose home world (earth) got all nuked. . . a long time ago as the atmosphere is blue. Did the other twelve tribes build what became the thirteenth tribe? If so, how are the seven humanoid cylons aware of the original (if they even are the 'original' whatever that means) cylons? Why would they be programmed not to think about them? What is going on? (Well, whatever is going on has happened before and will happen again. . . that's for certain.)

What else is confusing? Lots. Lots is confusing about this show. It will not start again until January. It will distract me a lot a lot from my senior work. That will be bad and oh so good. I think I will cry when it ends.

Love,
Calla and her kitties
