Calla's Twenty-Eighth Post pt. 2
This other part of the post is to tell you about the way that India sucks just as much as the United States. So turns out India produces enough grain to feed its entire population but instead they export it to make money and then throw the rest of it into the ocean because it's easier and cheaper to throw the rice away then to build the proper infrastructure to get the rice to all the starving citizens. This is what Tabby told me because he is taking a class called "India: A Modern History." So now he knows about how much India sucks. He told me lots of other sad stories too like about how half of India's currency is black market money. So yeah, don't buy rice grown in India. Just don't do it. At all costs. Because that rice is supposed to go to the citizens of India. It's supposed to go to all those starving children you see on those TV commercials. . . See, those children from India shouldn't be in those commercials because the Indian government actually made a program to have enough rice. But then because everything is privatized and capitalistic people don't want to feed all the starving children. So here's the deal, I'm not gonna buy rice from India anymore because if everyone stopped buying their rice maybe they still wouldn't give it to the people who need it, but at least they would eventually stop growing such an excess that they had to throw all the waste of it into the sea, and then these people would have to find a new way to make money. . . But maybe that way of making money would be even worse. I hope not though. I hope it would not be even worse. Everything makes me sad.
